2009 - Uganda Gorilla : Siku Nane na Uganda

Safari 8 days / 7 nights : Entebbe, Murchison Falls, Kassesse Ndali, Queen Elizabeth.

Day 1

I collect you in Entebbe and we take off for a beautiful 1h 50 min flight to Murchison Falls Park. Transfer in a private 4 x 4 to our camp in the bush. Lunch and in the afternoon, a safari in 4 x 4 in search of Kob, cats and elephants until sunset with sundowners. Return to camp with a short night drive. Dinner and night at camp.

Day 2

Wake up with a good hot drink and leave for a morning on the Nile near the Murchison Falls. On the banks of the river ; elephant, hippo, crocodile and a myriad of birds which we can observe at our leisure. The high point, if we are lucky might be to see the rare and endangered shoe billed stork , a bird from pre historic times ! At the falls we approach on foot to witness the most amazing spectacle, where the Nile passes through a gap of about 6 meteres wide. Lunch in the bush or on board as we return on boat towards our camp. At the end of the afternoon leave for a 4x4 drive until sunset. |Return to camp for dinner and the night.

Day 3

Wake up with a hot drink. Safari in the Northern part of the Murchison park in 4 x 4. with a bush breakfast until dinner. Towards the end of the afternoon, transfer to the plane for a superb 1h 20 min flight along the great Lakes of East Africa, over volcanoes dotted with small lakes. Land at Kassesse and transfer in 4x4 for an hours drive to the pretty little Lodge of Ndali, situated on the edge of a caldera with a backdrop of a superb volcanic lake. Install into the Lodge, dinner, and night at the Lodge.

Day 4

After breakfast, transfer to the Kasesse reserve for a foot safari to the heart of the forest in search of chimpnzees. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to the plane and take off for a beautiful 35 min flight over the Nile, the lakes and volcanoes at the base of the Ruwenzori Mountains. Land at the South end of Queen Elizabeth park, transfer and installation to the camp. Dinner.

Day 5

Early wake up with a hot drink, Safari in the south end of QE park in 4 x 4 with a bush breakfast, up until midday. Afternoon safari until dusk in a 4 x 4 in the park, sundowners and night in camp.

Day 6

Wake up with a hot drink ; safari more in the Q E Nat. Park in 4 x 4 after breakfast in the bush until lunch.

In the afternoon, a spectacular 30 minute flight over the Channel, install into the camp now at the North end of the park and take a boat trip or a 4 x 4 game drive. Dinner and night at the camp.

Day 7

Breakfast, safari in 4 x 4 in the North of the park along the Channel, Lunch in camp, afternoon, safari by boat or by 4x4, dinner, and night in camp.

Day 8

Breakfast, safari in 4 x 4 in the North end of the QE park. Along the channel. According to your departure time, after lunch, take off for a 1h 45 flight to Entebbe for your international flight home, fantastic memories in your head.!!
